Tonya began throwing pottery on the wheel at age 12 under the tutelage of Jeanie Daves. Over the years she worked with other master potters, taking a little piece of each teachers instruction and adding into her own personal style. She honed her skills and began selling her work under the name "Mud Fairy Pottery". She graduated from North Georgia College in 2009 with an Art Education degree. She sells her pottery under the Mud Fairy Pottery logo as well as the Earth Wishes Pottery logo. You can find her pottery at The Art-Full Barn, as well as other local shops. She is available for commission pottery as well. Contact Gail Kimsey at 706-754-1247 for Tonya's contact information
Most of Tonya's pottery is food safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe unless otherwise indicated. Some Raku pieces are decorative only, but that's not Tonya's primary focus. Function and beauty are what she strives to produce. She wants you to USE you pottery on a daily basis.
